Dry-Doc® Cannula System

As the name implies, the Dry-Doc system is designed to keep the doctors dry, but these products also solve the on-going issue of whether to use a smooth or threaded cannula. The Dry-Doc cannulas are the FIRST smooth/pleated cannulas on the market! With a unique patented design that incorporates a semi-flexible inner tube covered with an accordion-like outer sleeve, the insertion is that of a smooth cannula. After insertion the outer sleeve of the Dry-Doc cannula acts as pleats, gently filling the portal channel thus preventing inadvertent back out. These semi-translucent, yet colored cannulas, also permit visual monitoring of the tools and knots, while providing optimal fluid control with an innovative click-lock rachet stopcock.

UltraSling ER

For use after initial anterior shoulder dislocation or post operatively when external rotation is desired The anterior part of the capsule hangs loosely during internal rotation and the labrum is able to displace medially. In external rotation, the subscapularis tendon tightens thus closing the anterior joint cavity and helping the labrum maintain a good position on the glenoid rim.

Crystal Cannula®

The 5.75 mm I.D. Crystal Cannula features an atraumatic distal retaining ring to prevent cannula "fall-out". The Crystal Cannula Smooth version without the distal retaining ring permits the smallest possible incision while allowing the use of a translucent cannula. The small outer diameter and the uniquely designed obturator that threads into the proximal cannula provide positive control for insertion into small portals. The translucent cannula facilitates arthroscopic visualization of instruments and sutures through the cannula wall.

STaR™ Sleeve Shoulder Traction Device

The STaR Sleeve is a sterile, soft foam traction boot designed to gently cradle the arm, forearm and wrist during distal distraction in any desired position of abduction. The lateral traction and rotation strap included with each STaR Sleeve provides lateral traction to improve visualization in the shoulder joint. When a "mini-open" rotator cuff repair is performed in the lateral position, the lateral strap can be used to hold the arm in internal or external rotation, obviating the need for a surgical assistant to perform this task.
